DEPARTURE TAX

Each airline passenger departing Puerto Vallarta for an internation destination must pay a departure tax that is approx. 180 pesos (roughly $18 usd or $21 Canadian).

HOWEVER, this tax has ALREADY been built in to the cost of NEARLY ALL airline tickets and vacation packages which include airline transportation, whether via scheduled airline or charter service. If you have any doubt, call your airline or vacation provider to determine whether this tax has already been included in your ticket price. If by chance it is not, be prepared to pay this tax when you check in at the Puerto Vallarta airport to depart Mexico.
